Fresher, Funner Blog!

I’ve been struggling lately with how ordinary my blog is.  I’ve had my intern working at getting my blog posts all caught up, but I think it needs to have a little personality to it.  That being said, I don’t know where to start.  Do I post more about my crazy personal life that I am absolutely in love with?  Do I include posts with tips on how to make your photography session live up to your dreams?  How about little tidbits that tell you about my other hobbies (yes, I have time for other hobbies)?

What makes you see a blog post, and stay and read?  As a constant worrier about what others think, I worry that what makes my life exciting might be something that doesn’t interest my viewers at all.  Then I came to a realization that the events that make me love my life, whether they be interesting to all who come across my blog or not, are the same things that have molded me into what I am today.

I have had struggles and challenges that at the time I thought would beat me.  I’ve had giddy, joyful moments that leave me reflecting on how blessed and loved I am.  I’ve had days that would seem just plain ordinary.  Each moment has come together to create me!

I am a mother to 5 incredible children.  My oldest has Asperger’s, a high functioning form of Autism. They are all so amazing and make me so proud to be their mother.  They are the inspiration behind my work, and the reason I go to bed exhausted at the end of each day.  I love each one of them for their shortcomings as much as I do for their strengths, and I know they love me the same!
My husband tells all the youth we interact with through church (especially the girls) to go hang out at the engineering department to find their spouse.  He says an engineer will always take care of you and will always support your family.  I have to say that when we were dating I truly and honestly thought he was going to be a train driver . . . you know, an engineer, a train engineer!  Despite that, I married my engineer and he has taken care of me, loved me and supported my family for the last 17 years.  I’m so blessed that he overlooks my faults and maybe, just maybe loves me because of them!  I am so in love with my best friend!

I run 6 days a week.  Saturday I went on a run with my brother, his wife, and my husband.  We ran a nice leisurely 7 mile run through the city streets of Brigham City.  I say that with some sarcasm, because by the end of it, I think we all thought we were going to drop over dead.  So we went inside and made a huge pancake breakfast to restore our energy!!  I crossfit 4 days a week and have box jump scars on my legs and callouses on my palms from pull-ups and dead-lifts to prove it!  My husband watches me wince in pain after an extra hard day at the gym and wonders what possesses me to continue to go everyday! I love how strong I feel, when I’m not limping from a good day of air squats!
I am a Mormon!  I believe in a loving Heavenly Father.  I believe in a forgiving Savior.  Being a member of the LDS church directs my decisions and shapes my life every day.  I’m not saying I’m perfect, far from it, but I try everyday to be better than the day before.
I scrapbook.  I’m not good at keeping a journal.  I love to cook.  I hate to clean. I love diet caffeine . . . I tease that I am an equal opportunity diet caffeine drinker.  Pepsi, or Coke, it doesn’t matter!
I am a photographer.
I love who I am.  I am thankful for the things and people that have helped me become ME!

I like blogs that are honest and tell their struggles like they are.
If you aren't afraid to lay it all out that approach is refreshing.

A little humor, struggles, lessons learned, kids. It doesn't take much for me to follow a blog. My favorite I have been following for three years.

    Good luck!!
