This year we saw a record number of High School Seniors walk through our doors. We served seniors from Uintah High School clear down in Vernal, Roy High, Weber High, Ogden High, and of course Box Elder High School. Did I miss any?
To fit them all in we also did something we’ve never done before! We made a few of them get up early in the morning and partake in the gorgeous sunrise lighting! I don’t even think they minded that I wore sweat pants and a t-shirt and hair pulled up in a pony tail!
We did seniors who plan on serving our country in the military, one who is also going to cosmetology school. Seniors who play tennis, bowl, golf, play basketball, run cross country, swim, are in theatre, ballet, robotics, FBLA, FFA, and even a sweet senior with disabilities who just absolutely melted my heart!
We also saw a new trend that was the direct result of the LDS Church’s announcement that lowered the missionary age for boys to 18 and for girls to 19. More than half of my senior sessions this year involved changing into a suit and tie, or a dress and shooting some missionary pictures as part of their senior session. We even snuck in a few passport pictures for those who had already received a mission call taking them out of the country!
Can I just say that we have an amazing future if these young people are our future leaders! It was my pleasure to meet each and every one of them. I’m getting chills down my arms as I think of each of them, and their personalities and how they can change the world!
Here is a small sampling of my favorites for the year!
Congratulations to the graduating seniors from the Class of 2013!
My favorite two seniors of 2013! My gorgeous twin nieces!
